Welcome to the Website of the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League


The League is affiliated to the Gloucestershire FA and has two Divisions.  

In the structure of the Football Pyramid, the League is one tier below the Gloucestershire County League and has three feeder Leagues of its own, these being the Cheltenham, North Gloucestershire and Stroud Leagues. Member Clubs are all located within a 50 mile radius of the centre of Gloucester.

The League was founded in 1922 and has been providing competitive football at Senior Amateur level in the County of Gloucestershire ever since.

The League season runs from the beginning of August until the following spring.  The season begins with the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League Cup, which is played for the Reg Davis Memorial Trophy.  League matches then start on the following Saturday.

The Gloucestershire Northern Senior League has 32 Full Member clubs, covering the length and breadth of the County of Gloucestershire, from the North of the County's borders with Bristol up to Worcestershire and Warwickshire. For more information, please click here
